TEXT: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. (2 Corinthians 15:20)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a living hope for all Christians. It gives us boldness; it transfers power, authority and dominion to us as His children. It is an assurance that, as death couldn’t hold Him captive in the grave, we are liberated from the bondage of sin and Satan. Jesus fought and won the battle for us, now we live just as He lives.

Christ’ resurrection depicts His absolute power over all things. He is the head of all principalities and powers. He reigns, He rules and He is in charge, Haleluyah! Jesus Christ conquered Satan and collected the keys of eternal death from him that, anyone who receives Christ as Lord and savior will not die but live again.

  1. The resurrection shows that Jesus is the true Son of God. A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” (Luke 9:35)
