IMPATIENT HEART, BE STILL.

Last term, my son came home with a mid-term project in Agricultural Science – to plant beans in a container. Excited, he bounced into action, and within minutes, a container-garden was set up on my balcony. Then came the real drama, he practically made the balcony his resting room. His young restless mind wouldn’t allow the planted beans to breath. He watered and checked on it every passing hour. The first two days of this project were question – answering days for me. I gave out practically all answers there is on plant germination. On the third day, when...

God in His incomparable wisdom stroke a balance in everything He created. Nothing of His creation functions in isolation, they all complement one another. This establishes the fact that, nothing in life is above the other, they all in their uniqueness, are designed for our blessings and to the glory of God. The world is under unnecessary pressures. Pressure from peers, pressure from family members, pressure from the society and pressure from oneself. This new wave of pressure leads to unfulfilled dreams, honouring men other than God, and being an enemy to oneself. Saul the first king of Israel, consented to the pressure by his kinsmen to offer sacrifice to God, knowing the obvious – he was not a priest. He rather hearkened to the voice of men than heeding the commandments and instructions of God. The consequences were grave, and he, not the people, paid dearly for it. Similar to...

FEBRUARY 19, 2018 – GOD IS NEVER SILENT

it is amazing how God can turn around events in a twinkle of an eye to favour those who love Him. God knows what to do and when to do it. He changes times and seasons because, the world in its entirety are in the palm of His hands. The story of Queen Esther, Mordecai and The Jews is one of those thought-provoking and encouraging stories that, celebrates the Almightiness of God. It takes a chronological order which explores how God arranges situations and events to favour His children and to glorify Himself. Sometimes, you might wonder why things...
