TEXT: John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Freedom in the natural perspective entails the disentanglement from the things that hold people bound. True freedom set one free and keeps him totally free. It comes from within; that is, by knowing the Truth.

There are lots of things that hold people in bondage, unfortunately, most of them do not realize that. By bondage here I mean, those things that limits people from moving forward in their lives and endeavours. It keeps them in the valley, thus, controlling and affecting every other area of their lives.

Such bondage include; wrong thinking, fear, negative belief system, negative confessions etc. Many people are entangled in these strongholds and cannot identify the source of their problems. You may ask, how can fear be a bondage? The bible tells us that, fear is a torment. Anything that torments your life keeps you under check; it limits you from launching out, and hinders you from attaining your full potential.

God’s word says ‘God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of sound mind’. The above passage explains that, God is not an author of fear rather; He gives us a sound and active mind. A mind that is bold and a mind that exercises faith in God.

Freedom begins in the heart. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.  The state of your heart goes a long way to influence your decision and even your achievements.  When your heart feels defeated, your outward nature gets defeated but, when your heart exhibits faith, you get strengthened and hope comes alive in you.

If you desire to be freed from the hold of the wicked one, begin by establishing a relationship with Jesus. Redemption in Christ brings freedom and salvation. It keeps you protected from the onslaught of the devil and gives you rest both within and without.
