NO VACANCY!

…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11

What comes to your mind wherever the inscription No Vacancy is displayed? I can say it suggests; No space here! This place is taken! It’s occupied, and all that. Just like the signpost above, our lives as God’s children have been taken. We are occupied by Jesus; there is no vacancy in our lives anymore.

Being married is a beautiful experience both to the bride and the groom. It regenerates the couple’s lives and brings a change of purpose in them. Some old stereotype way of doing things changes while new decisions are being embraced. Families and friends respect this newly established lifestyle so; they limit their interference, to enable the couple bond better. For their relationship to blossom, the couple learn to spend more time together, communicate their opinions and work towards making each other happy.

That is the relationship between us and our Lord Jesus!

As illustrated above, we are in an unending relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. He bought us over to Himself, there is no vacancy in our lives. However, this does not stop satan from trying to distract Christians, he is very manipulative. He uses subtle ways to entice people to sin. As he notices a person’s weakness, he starts operating from that angle because, his sole agenda is to pull a believer down. He thrives to keep a child of God in a perpetual struggle over sin and the flesh.

For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Ephesians 5:31, 32)

As you have given your heart away to Christ, how do you send out a warning note to satan that, your life is a no go area?

  • Receive the full knowledge of God by constantly meditating on His word. The word of God will renew your inner strength, thereby helping you win the incessant battle against your salvation.
  • Commit your weakness unto God and depend on Him to overcome life temptations. God’s grace is able to keep you from falling.
  • Stay away from such things and places that lure you into temptation.

Let your life glorify Christ – For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. ( 2 Corinthians 6:20)

When you are being tempted, may God give you grace to say NO!
